Col. R.J. (Bob) Mader
Founder, Mader & Mader Auction Service
All of us at Mader & Mader Auction Service are deeply and profoundly saddened at the loss of Bob. He passed away suddenly May 7, 2006. He had conducted quilt, craft and Amish-made furniture auctions for over 19 years. He, along with his son Ron, had also conducted over 200 liquidation auctions.
One of the changes and blessings that has come about because of Bob's death is the fact that you will usually see the other Mader brothers, one or more Mader grandchildren and, possibly, Mader spouses helping out at the Amherst auctions. We really miss Bob, but it is fun to work with the rest of the family in Bob's absence.

Ron Mader always worked the auction block with Bob, his dad. In Bob's absence, Ron has stepped up to take over the management of Mader & Mader Auction Service. Ron finally married in 2009. He claims he didn't want to rush into it. You can meet his wife, Debbie, as she works as a cashier at the Amherst auctions.
In addition to working auctions, Ron and his brother, Ryan, are the owners of M & M Home Repair & Remodel LLC. They do a wide variety of home maintenance and home remodeling. They specialize in kitchen and bath remodels and most exterior work including windows and doors. Call him for a free estimate at (920) 731-1860. They do excellent work and have great references.

Ryan has been managing the furniture side of the auctions for several years now. He also takes care of the computer technology and oversees all of the consignments. Ryan graduated from Missouri Auction School in January 2011. He has 2 beautiful daughters, Olivia and Kaily. Olivia is eager to be the next auctioneer in the Mader family.
Violet Mader
Since Ron and Ryan took over Mader Auction Service in 2011, Vi is still there for support and guidance. She continues to help with clerking, inspecting, sizing, labeling and racking over 300 quilts for each Amherst auction. She is also a member and past president of Business and Professional Women (BPW).
